ceiling all decorated with religious scenes the hall was
built by Sethos the 1st and Ramses the 2nd, the relives and
the pharaoh’s chronicles elsewhere in the temple presents an
incomparable historical source, much of our knowledge about
Egypt and the neighboring countries come from them, they
also recall stories of the Bible, continue your tour to
visit Luxor temple about 10 minutes drive from Karnak
Temple, the temple was built and used over a period of many
generations but Amenophis the 3rd started building the
temple and parts of it were completed by Ramses the 2nd
where 2 of his seated colossal statues flank the doorway of
the temple, the temple was connected to Karnak temple by a 4
kilometers avenue of the sphinx witch is still big part of
it existing, one of the very interesting parts in Luxor
temple is the chapel built by Alexander the great for the
God Amon Raa picturing himself as the son of God, what is
more interesting is the chapel he built is an exact copy of
the chapel built by Amenophis the 3rd about 11 centuries
before Alexander built his own comparing the 2 chapels you
will find a great difference in quality in favor of the old
chapel built by Amenophis the 3rd

wall from the temple Akhenaton built in Thebes, 283blocks of

means of ramps led to the sanctuary, drive to the east bank
to visit the Mummification Museum, a small museum has
a well presented displays that tell you everything you ever
wanted to know about mummification, it contains a very well
preserved mummy of a 21st dynasty official
“Maserharti” as well as many mummified animals, in addition
there are exhibits showing the tools and materials used in
the mummifying process as the spoon and metal spatula that
were used for scraping the brain out of the skull, a number
of artifacts that were crucial to the mummy in the after
life journey, one of the most important parts of the museum
is the clear and simple explaining to the old Egyptian
religion specifically the judgment day showing it’s famous
